Spread the love

It’s quite clear that Game of Thrones is the most popular TV series of all time. Much like cryptocurrencies, the last 8 years have seen the show rise from nothing and turn into something that the whole world follows. In a way, cryptocurrencies are much like some of the famous characters from the show. In order to help people to know some of them better, we can play a crypto Game of Thrones.

If we look at Bitcoin, we’ll go back to the beginning. The first cryptocurrency was created by Satoshi Nakamoto who quickly disappeared. Ned Stark bears the closest resemblance to Bitcoin’s mysterious creator.

Despite his early death, the House Stark has been a key and dominating factor in the story’s development. Bitcoin is also the biggest cryptocurrency by market cap and is probably the rightful successor the Iron Throne.

A crypto Game of Thrones would not be complete without the Dragon Queen, Daenerys Targaryen. Definitely one of the most popular and globally recognized characters from the show. The Dragon Queen can be closely associated with Ethereum.

Ethereum is all about freedom and decentralization. Much like Daenerys, Ethereum aims to help the people via smart-contracts and get rid of the pesky middlemen like banks, politicians and governments.  Much like the Dragon Queen, Ethereum has a lot of allies ready to rally behind its cause.

The Crypto Game of Thrones needs likeable villians

What about a villain that a lot of people can get behind and hate at the same time? The crypto Game of Thrones has that as well in the face of Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the biggest enemy of Bitcoin and desires only the Iron Throne. Much like Cersei Lannister, Bitcoin Cash’s ambitions known no end and they are willing to get their hands dirty.

Tyrion Lannister is all about the brains. As the show went on, the character became increasingly more popular. Always in the shadow of both Bitcoin and Ethereum and also very different from most cryptocurrencies. If you think of Tyrion, you should think of Ripple (XRP). Ripple was designed for financial institutions and payment providers.

Much like the King’s Hand and later in the series, the Hand of the Queen, XRP offers payment providers and banks a reliable on demand source of liquidity for cross-border payments. Tyrion has used his wits numerous times to help the Queen in situations where intelligence was crucial.

Game of Thrones has changed the landscape for TV series in the future. After the show is over, in order for something to replace is at the best show of all time, it has to be out of this world. Cryptocurrencies on the other hand have managed the drastically change the financial landscape. Unlike Game of Thrones however, cryptocurrencies are here to stay and all the previous financial kings will eventually fall.
